Research has shown that Nigeria has a population of above 223 million, a total population of youths under 30 of about 70%, and a total youth unemployment rate of approximately 53.40%. What can we do to solve the problem of unemployment in Nigeria? How can we create sustainable economic growth to reduce the level of unemployment and, in turn, eradicate unemployment-triggered crimes in Nigeria?.
In tandem with economic strategies, a multi-faceted approach is necessary to tackle the root causes of unemployment-triggered crimes. Community engagement, mentorship programs, and initiatives that promote social cohesion can play a crucial role. By addressing the underlying issues contributing to crime, we aim to create a safer environment that nurtures economic growth and social well-being. The Pathfinders envision a future where Nigeria's youth are not only resilient in the face of unemployment challenges but actively contribute to the nation's prosperity. Through a holistic strategy encompassing education, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic policies, we strive to be catalysts for positive change, steering Nigeria towards a brighter and more secure future.
